At my local Sheetz last Sunday, girl had a carrier on her Wideglide to take her overweight Boston Terrier with her. It was 95 degrees & she had the poor dog out pouring bottled water over it. It was entirely too damn hot to be taking any animal on a bike cooped up in a black carrier. Stupid, stupid..

What do you all think? anyone done it, if so can your pooch still hear when you call him?
Remove the gov't mandated child seat and just strap your dog to the bike. And then ride around yelling hey, look at me, my dog loves loud pipes.

"little white fur ball dog, a poodle type thing" You don't even know what breed of dog it is. The dog has to be trained to get use to the motion and sound of the bike. Something tells me you are not going to take the time to train the dog, or want to take it for a walk at rest stops. So no, I bet you are just looking for backup to tell your wife "No ankle biters on my bike."

I want a side car so my Boxer can ride with me, he loves the Vette with the top down and gets all giddy when the bike is fired up!

we've got a little ratdog ( Toy Fox terrier) great little dog...at the house do like we do leave the little SOB at home! Love my dog but don't think people want to hear her yapp'n little *** @ the camp ground. I know I don't. she either stays home & somebody comes by to take care of her or off to the kennel!

my girlfriend rides around her min schnauzer on her bike. she went through alot of different setups before finding out that a milk crate strapped to the passenger seat was the best. he wears a harness that is clipped onto the crate, in a way that he can sit up if he wants but no more. she blocks the wind, so when he wants air(always) he can sit up and get it.

he also serves as her alarm when shes fueling up!

If the pet doesn't mind, then let him/her ride. If the bike bothers the pet, don't take him/her. Simple.
