Small dogs
Gotta chime in on this one....
Small dogs are not always foo foo dogs.
Most small terriers were bred to hunt and kill small game and rodent.
I've seen some intense JRT's, Yorkshire Terriers etc... They WERE
bread to hunt.

Why do so many people have the idea that a dog can't enjoy a motorcycle, after all how many dogs enjoy riding in a car, RV, etc. Mine just hates to be left at home, he don't care if you're leaving on a skate board, he's up for going. Planning on taking him on a short ride tomorrow. I'll try to take a couple of pics and post them. I never take him on any ride that would inconveince anyone else.

IMHO, here is a list of the things that DO NOT belong on a bike:
Stereos,radios,MP3s,etc.
GPSs
Intercoms
Children
Other guys (if YOU'RE a guy)
Women you ain't boinkin'
And DOGS!
ESPECIALLY dogs.
Animals are unpredictable, and they could freak out suddenly, causing you to wreck. Leave the dog home. Wife bitches--leave her home, too.

I can pick up my dog. He's 60 lbs, will run circles around dogs twice his size, then pin them to the ground. Oh and he's fluffy. How should I categorize him?

I have a Miniature Pinscher that rides with me. She loves to go on the bike and went to the Grand Canyon with me last year. I have a T-Bags pet carrier. She rides with her doggles on and has a great time looking and watching the other bikes.

What would we all do without someone to decide all these things for folks...comments like this really bother me
I found this link when I was looking for a small dog carrier...expensive, but kinda cool:

My dog is a bit too busy for that kind of carrier. I'd fear that she wouldn't sit still enough for me to concentrate on riding. I've not seen the Kuriakyn version, but she does well in her T-Bag. It has two tethers on either side that I clip into her harness. She's locked in and can duck down in her box to get shade or take a nap.
Here's a photo when we went to AZ last year.
