Don't know who decides what is manly and what is not. I have two toy Poodles, they are the best dogs in the world! I met this guy and his dog (not manly but you tell him, ok?) on a cross state 400 mile ride last year. The dog's name is Harley, and he goes everywhere with this guy. Rides on his shoulder and when he gets tired he is inside his vest. There is a small chain from Harley's collar around my buddy's neck incase he gets tired. He has never fallen and hears fine!

Do men think about their wives riding on the back? I thought long and hard about letting my dog ride with me, but decided I'd rather have her with me than sitting at home all alone.

Whether or not your rider is human or pet variety, I think everyone rides a bit safer with a loved one on the back.

I agree. There's nothing dumber lookin' than a little dog on a bike. If I hauled a dog, I'd mount a sidecar and carry a German Shepard. This way, nobody would say "How cute", and nobody would come near my bike.

After watching National Lampoon's Vacation my dog said he would rather stay home than go out with me on the bike. I don't think he trusts me.
