Has anyone used FBI Jac-Knife Highway Pegs for Standard Boards
I am trying to decide on some sort of highway pegs for my 99 Fatboy. I don't have an engine guard and was wondering if anyone has used the Jac-Knifes by FBI. If not, any suggestions? I really don't want to get an engine guard.

If I remember right, the Jack knives have a detent to keep them open or closed. If you're carving the corners I would hope that you would have your feet on the boards and not on 'freeway pegs, so the knives would be folded in. Only problem I see with them is trying to open (because of the detent) them while moving. The ones they have on their boards have a piece that comes up so you can hook your boot in them to flip them out.
PS.. only the rear part of your boards scrap, not the front where the knives are located.

There are also a few other threads out there on the topic.

The jac-knifes seem like a great idea, but i can see there being major issues for a guy like myself going into sharp corners. I mean im already having board issues, i really like to lean in the corners. Theres also the Kuryakyn MARK 3s that attach to your floorboards, check them out. I am currently debating these or Forward controls, leaning more toward the MARK 3s. GOOD LUCK!
B1) are the engineers at Innovative Metal Technologies in Lincoln, NE
(imtnebraska.com). The Kuryakyn flip blade is different in that it contains
a locking mechanism, which does not give away on impact if it makes contact
with the road...turning your bike into a giant metal top. The pegs made by
IMT are spring loaded and will retract to a safer position on impact. Also,
they can be placed back under the floorboards with your boots without having
to having to lean down and do it yourself. Fat Baggers signature series is
manufactured by IMT. You can order your set directly from IMT via their website.
