Sorry if this has been discussed ... I searched and couldn't find anything. Just wondering what people think about the current HD promo where you can trade in your sportster for an upgrade to twin-cam?

Got my nightster last year and though I'm happy with it, I've been tossin the idea around to upgrade to a softtail or dyna, specifically fatboy or fatbob. Anyonw done the same or heard of any others experiences? TIA

Lots of people have done this. If your seriously interested in moving up, I don't think you'll ever get a better deal out of your trade-in.

As long as you didn't finance the original for a long time, it's a good deal. If you did stretch the financing way out, it's a good way to go upside down on a loan.

Traded in the Sportster for an FLSTF. Got full MSRP for a two year old XL883L with almost 10,000 miles on it.

Offer ends at the end of March.

Traded my Nightster for a Deluxe. As others have said, I knew that I'd never get 10k for it on my own. Plus, I've been lusting after the Deluxe for a long time.

Was the deal that allowed me to get my Fat Boy--I sighed a bit over the accessories I'd already paid for on the Nightster, though for the cost per mile I got out of them I feel I made out well. And wow, the difference in the ride is amazing--went riding in pouring rain yesterday and was smiling all the way--didn't feel a bump, just smooth riding, great handling, and all the power I could need, and I love that 6th gear. I couldn't be happier, and now have a bike that is better suited for longer journeys.
