Default Couldn't be happier

So I finally got it done ... with 1 week left I scrounged around for the extra cash, got a new loan and took HD up on their offer. The dealership (AmericanHD in A2) went the extra mile ... I went in last Sat and was looking and sitting on a lot of bikes. The service manager was free and took me under his wing and get me a good fit. Turns out the bike I liked most was the FatBob which didn't fit me perfect, but its such a sweet bike. After a couple days I finally decided on a black denim ... only to find the one in the store had been sold. But they found me another in a couple days and after couple trips to the bank and back I was saying goodbye to my sporty and hello to Bob. I'm still a rookie but I went with the forward controls ... I couldn't be happier ... like you guys said ... there is a world of difference between the sport and the dynas ... the ride is like going from my pontiac grand am to a cadillac ... very smooth.

Can't wait to get some more funds and start adding on ... only problem is its taking a while for spring to arrive in Michigan ... its driving me nuts.

Thanks again to all ... here's a pic.

Default good choice

I'm glad I decided to trade up my '07 xl1200c during the Ride Free promo.

I test-rode a fat bob and liked it, but ultimately, chose to equip a superglide with fat bob handlebars and forward controls, to give myself a similar riding position.

Dynas offer pretty nice handling and performance, like sportsters, with greater comfort and stability. I'm definately gonna try some longer trips as soon as she's broken in. I've tried a heritage special and a v-rod before, as loaner bikes, didn't really like them.

Congrats on the new bike!

I traded my ’08 Nightster in……I hated to just be throwing away the money on all the accessories I bought for it, but I may recoup some of that on Ebay. I put 10,000 miles on that Nightster – so, it was a pretty good deal for me overall I think.
I love the ’09 Street Bob though – a world of difference in ride and cruising.
