Default johnny reb boots

Just interested to see if anyone here wears them here and likes them.

They always looked bulky and over the top to me.
My father swears by them and has used them for fifteen odd years now.
Any thoughts ?

Never heard of them but they look like most of the other harness boots.

Leatherup.com has a pretty good price on the harness/engineer boots. I have a pair I ride in, they were comfortable right out of the box.

Thanks for your reply's

They look very comfy and extremely sturdy and the ones i have seen are very well put together.
The thing i like the look of is they are nice and high and offer good protection.

My only concern was with a large steel toe was it going to be difficult getting the front end under the shift peg.

Here in the states they are called harness boots(square toe style),they come with or without steel toes.I have a pair without the steel toes which makes them lighter. There is enough taper in the toes that they don't interfere with shifting on a harley.Just make sure to get a pair with non slip soles.

You can adjust the shift peg up a notch in less then 5 minutes if it's a problem.

I would go for it and just adjust the shifter until you are comfortable. I where logger type boot with heel/sole configuration that is similar to the picture.

No issues one you are use to the bulk.

Thanks for all the good information and for taking the time guys.

Went out and got myself a pair this morning. They fit perfectly and are comfy as hell strait out of the box.

I could not be happier.

A quick adjustment of the shift leaver and all seems to be good.

They are by far the best boots i have had.
