I started w/ an old iron sporty when I was a college kid, but 6 months later I wanted a bigger bike. Last year I was thinking about either a Low Rider or a Street Bob, but got a great deal deal on a Fatboy. I'm 5'6", 170 lbs & have no problems reaching the floorboards or the ground. Obviously, test ride both & get whichever one you like. Right now HD is doing a full value trade in when you upgrade from a sporty, so could probably ride that sporty around for the next 6-7 months & then pick up a bigger bike. Just a thought.
