Default Welcome from Oregon

Have fun on your selection. I ride a Heritage Softail but my husband rides a Street Bob. He loves his bike. He only says that I probably bought the smarter bike for the long haul trips. Two totally different looks and styles and we're both happy!!

Enjoy!!

I'm new myself, but welcome from Ohio.

As for your question, I can weigh in some. My mom has a sporty and my step dad has a street bob. I'm about the same height as you and I would go with the bob any day of the week. The ride is better, the power is better, and down the road the resale should be better as well. Other than the price there is no question which bike to choose.

Welcome aboard. I'm 5'9" @ 200#. Just traded an '01 XL1200C in on an '09 Fatboy. Fixing to turn 50 and needed something other than a bar hopper. Fixing to chop a '71 Norton 750 Combat Commando for the bar hopper. Love Sportsters; really all Harleys. Have you looked at the Cross-Bones?

Hello from the Orlando, Fl area. Check with your dealer about renting different models of bikes...most will refund the rental fees upon purchase if within a certain period of time . That way you won't later question yourself as to how the other would have riden .
