Most of yall have the Harley Factory Security System installed on your bikes.
Now would be a good time to replace the batteries in the key fobs before you get stranded out on the road with a fob that wont disarm the security system.
The later version of the key fobs use a CR 2032 battery. They are easy to swap out by simply opening the halves of the fob cover.
If you don't want to swap batteries yet, it wouldn't hurt to store a new battery in your tool pack or in a ziplock bag on the bike somewhere so when it does fail you have one handy . .
Thank you for your attention . . .
Now back to your regularly scheduled BS . . .

I use CR2032 for another application and found that Radio Shack Lithium batteries last considerably longer than other brands.

From some of the replies to this thread............ another good thing to do before riding season would be to get out the owners manual and learn the manual over ride procedure for when your fob battery dies or you lose the fob while out and about.
