Actually it was right here in the Alamo City at Alamo City HD. From what I heard their customer services has gotten better with the new owner.

 

I think that you have a great dealer there !
Then dealers around here dont do any demos unless it one of the Harley sponsored events, used bikes they sometimes let you try them out, I have Seen Yucca Valley HD take some pre owned bikes off the floor for people to test drive.
I think they are by far the best dealer in this area out of the 3 we have

 

The dealer here in Lansing didn't offer a new bike. But I could have rented one and the rent would count to purchase price if I remember right.

 

Having your cake and eating it too, good for you. Riding the bike home, checking it out, without a salesperson hanging over you and you can think about it overnight, while it's in your possession, easier for you to make sure this is what you really want. Also, get the price you wanted... Congratulations.

My dealer just lets you take it for a short ride before you buy it.
