Recommend me a pair for riding boots for the summer
Hey guys, I have my bike, I have my jacket, I have my helmet, almost set to go!!!
But now I need a good pair of boots or shoes, something for the summer that won't melt my foot, and yes it gets warm around here.
What are some good options?
Thanks

I personally wear jungle boots in the summer. The ventilation is nice when it's too hot out.

kidding...
You didn't state how much you want to spend. I went to the local sporting goods store and purchased a pair of over-the-ankle boots that work just fine. If money isn't an option then look at BMW boots. I've never tried them because they are out of my price range but I've heard good things about them.

I had a pair of wolverine boots, that gave me trouble getting the toe under the shift lever. Be careful of that if you buy boots from a local shoe store. I replaced these with HD boots... Couldn't beat the price 1/2 off in Feb. The only negative on the HD boots is that they are not comfortable for walking. Typically that is only a problem when you go to bike shows. I am planning to look at Milwaukee boots for my next purchase.
There have been several posts on this and many positive comments on red wings too.

Check out the Chippewa boots, Chuck's has great prices and service. Lug soles, not flat, Vibram soles last forever. Chippewa has boots made in USA< but you have to read the descriptions to make sure which ones. Best boots I ever had, own 3 pair.

The BMW air flow boots seem awesome I'm also looking at some ECCO gortex shoes which are basically the same thing as the FXRG Harley boots. Hmmm. Price wise it doesn't matter, as long as it's good. But sure if I can save a buck that's cool too.

If you buy www.cruiserworks.com you won't need anything else!
One boot I wouldn't recommend is the HD square toe engineer boot. Least if you plan on doing any walking in them. Brutal.
