+1 Msrp is the ever golden fleece for some. I agree with the other poster. If I have to be escorted in any store it would be out the door.

+1 on marking their incoming email as Spam or asking them to delete your address.

As others have commented, I'm not sure why you are so bent out of shape. You state that you're really not shopping for a bike right now -- why would you expect any dealer to "deal" with you, if you're really not interested in buying a bike? I recently got what I consider an excellent deal on an '09 FLTR. I know that part of the reason I got the deal, is because I walked in ready, willing, and wanting to buy. IMHO you should save your self proclaimed rant until you are actually ready to buy.

yes i am ready to buy! the dealers near me dont have the bike i want with abs. boston hd has one so i figured i would buy it now and save myself from having to shop around later.they came to me so i figured it was a good sign. the point of this rant is that why do i need to go to a competing dealer to buy their bike? makes no sense. now if i can find a dealer that is friendly i can have them swap the bike out and be on my way. just looking for advice on dealers in mass that are helpful. when somebody asks you for your best price and has cash in hand thats ready to buy.

I live about 2 miles from Boston Harley. Before when the old owners owned it it really sucked. No one wanted to go there. Ripped off prices and poor service. Rossmeyer bought the dealership (but not the building, yet) and the dealership took a 180 for about 6 months. Great service..quick turnaround good customer service. Even a grand opening 30% off of all parts for four hours..line was out the door. I figured great I have a dealership finally close by I can trust.

NOT

I don't know what happen but I went in to trade my 05 EGS for an 09 SG and the salesguy knew nothing about either bike. Completely uninformed. Sales manager made me an insulting offer and walked away. No more deals, no more incentives, customer service went down the drain. Estimates for labor are through the roof. The only knowledgeable parts guy walked out and now it has returned to the worse dealership around with a well known poor reputation.

I'd suggest as someone said Paramount in Framingham and Seacoast Harley in Hampton NH. Seacoast staff is knowledgable and the customer service is great.

Try Kelly Harley Davidson in North Billerica Mass. Just bought a Heritage Softail there this week. Great sales people and lots of bikes to choose from.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. If you dont like their pricing, mark the email as spam and move on.

i hope that was not directed at me. they contacted me and asked me to buy from them. they came right out and said we know we are over 2 hours away. then they quote me msrp plus fees. never said how much the fees were. i asked several times how much and never got a clear answer.

the reason for the rant is why the games? i just had to go thru that buying the wifes suv. the dealer that had the vehicle offered to give us 1500 off msrp and 6000 on our trade. the trade had a nada value of 11900. after 2 weekends of trying i went to another dealer and made a deal. i got 5500 off sticker and 8500 for our trade. it was a fair deal and they treated us well. no games and no bs.

as you can see boston hd has yet to rated by anyone in a postive way. trust me they wont be contacting me again. thanks for the advice on local dealers

They contacted you because you showed interest in Harley-Davidson by entering that contest. It's called business. Don't you get advertisements in snail mail?
