OK, were all missing the point here. Let me re-phrase my original (and several subsequent posts):
Does anyone out here use, or know of someone using, the CruiserRamp product?
www.cruiserlift.com/cruiserramp.html
That's all I really need to know.

Well, for lots of reasons I went with the Rampage Lift. I met up with Larry in Inverness, FL during the Daytona Bike Week. Larry spent a good part of an hour showing me the product along with lots of tips. About three days (and many questions) later I decided to order one, and about 10 days later it was in the back of my truck waiting to be installed. I installed it the next day, and so far it has been a great investment. We left Florida at the end of April and are currently sitting in the Black Hills of South Dakota. I have had the bike off/on the truck 5 times so far and it has been effortless. We will be heading east in a few days, and I will have the bike off/on at least three more times before we get to central NY. Now I don't need to worry.
A few things I have learned about using the lift, though. First, don't try to unload it onto grass or loose gravel. The ramp (with the bike on it) is too heavy and will dig into the ground as it lowers. Second, by leaving my tailgate on, and adjusting the ramp install for the pivot point, the base is actually about 6 inches from the front of the bed. This changed the weight distribution due to where the bike used to ride over the axle. When I get to NY I'm going to remove the tailgate and move the lift forward. Oh, taking it out is also a snap, as it comes apart in three managable sections.
