Any Wing Riders???
#21
Thanks all for the comments. I do realize that the RG isn't going to have the speed or top end of the Wing, but as someone said, where can you run that fast. I am looking for that "thing" that makes me love the bike again. The Wing is flawless in almost every way. perhaps that's the problem.
FWIW: I think there are many differences from '04 to '09. Bigger motor, lower gearing, no more frame waggle, Less heat...
I am planning on a 103 kit so Power-wise I think I'll be happy.
As I said in my first post, I'll be keeping the VFR for those days when I want to "turn and burn". The wing can't really do that either....

Um yea, I agree with you about the '07/'09 trade, but, you said '04 to '09, there's a world of difference there.

What is true with any purchase, especially with any large coin on the line, is the way it makes you feel. My HD feels great as I thump on down the road, dude if you get there 5 minutes before me (because of your bike having more "performance" then imho your missing the point. If your wing makes you feel good-man that's awesome, but it ain't for me-just my 2 cents. As far as reliability issues...well that's a whole nather thread (50K+ on 2003 FLSTC brakes, oil, rubber only work done on bike)

Being partially deaf, I couldn't ride a wing. Wouldn't know when it was running or not. Wings are great if you want to listen to classical music, the quietest interludes at 70 m.p.h. Give me Bob Seger any day at 65.
