Default I really should know this

But I don't.

I'm assuming it shouldn't be an issue but I really don't know. I haven't kept up on all the changes in the last decade or two and will ask if I'm not sure.

Will a rubber mount motor fit in in a solid mount frame? I'm thinking about taking a rubber mount motor and putting it in my Softail frame without the rubber mounts. I just don't like the idea of a balancer in the motor. I tend to keep my bikes for a long time (20 years on average) and don't want the grief that will come when that balance chain and/or assembly finally goes.

Before you start telling me how much an unbalanced solid mount motor will vibrate...I'm aware of that and am capable of balancing the flywheels and the rods and pistons if necessary.

If you know please respond. If you don't please don't.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

What would the problem be with the Primary?

Your talk'n evo right ,just a motor ,it don't know the difference. tc in a ridgid mount is a different thang ,it has counter balancers like jap bikes.

No I'm talk'n an 88A motor in a Softail frame. I didn't know if the mounting points are different because of the rubber mounts or not.

If your talking EVO the primary on a FLH rubber mount is shorter then the rigid mount Softtail. The motor will fit in any frame, just need to use the right mounts for the frame. Not sure about the TC. What year motor and frame are you looking at?
