Default how to handle retaliation

last fri night, my son got attacked by two guys.
it was during a teenage party (one of those parents gone, come over and drink).
hit in the face with a 3 ft metal pipe.
shattered his left eye socket.
bone pressing against his eye.
saturday night he underwent 3+ hr surgery for bone reconstructive plastic surgery.
titanium, screws, mesh, plastic, all used in the reconstruction.
doctors said he was extremely lucky that he didn't have major eye or brain damage.
appears that everything will be okay physically. appears that the eye will heal completely. will have a scar over his left eyebrow.

the kids (the ortiz brothers) who did it have been a problem in the area. cops want them. others have been supportive of my son.

couple issues thou. the younger brother is under 18, the older bro is over 18. it almost appears that the older bro is the one who swung the pipe. but the younger is bragging about it. so the thought is that the older might have convinced the younger to take the blame, cause he won't get in as much trouble cause it we go to juvenile court.

one of the things i am concerned about is retaliation by either brother against my son. these kids live close enough. they attend the same high school that my kids went to. story i am getting is that at the party, before the cops got there, the older brother was yelling "i want t F him up more". and the day afterwards, they were braggin about the kid they put in the hospital.

anybody have a situation like this that gave them cause for concern about retalitation against one of the kids? how do you handle it, what should you do about it.

Why would they retaliate? For going to the police? If so, at the FIRST sign of trouble, call the police again, here in Nebraska they could get nailed for Intimidating a Witness on top of the initial charges. Make sure school officials know what happened. If there is a school cop, make him/her aware. Sounds like these idiots need some time in big boy jail.

What a shame! I'd have a solution for ya, but wouldn't waste the shells. That's the only way I think it should be delt with. If you go to the "Gun Fourm" I'm sure you get the same answer. Just think, these brothers are only gonna get worse so swift action I think is necessary. Can't trust the law to justify anymore

Wish your son a speedy recovery with few side effects.

As to retaliation; are you planning on pressing charges or killing them?

Pressing charges = retaliation

killing both of them = ???????

You may want to get a restraning order on them. Perhaps if you are that concerned discuss this with an attorney. Many are willing to have a consultation, free of charge. Your son had some serious injuries, you son may not be so lucky next time. I would express your concerns with the Police Department. They may or may not be able to do anything, but at least you will have it on record.

Default this is a tough 1

is the ortiz family here legally or are they illegal aliens ? this sucks because we know our crook county judicial system won't do chit. big brother will go to jail for a short time and hang out with all the other mexican gang members and won't care a single a bit about what he did. I would say call bruno and have them killed. Seriously.
