I went with a buddy last year for the first time.

We trailored our Softails down from Massachusetts. It was a straight 20 hour drive each way and at the time it cost us $450.00 in gas each way.

It sure was nice to get into the warm weather and it was an experience I'll never forget. I wouldn't want to do it every year but I hope to do it again sometime but next time I'll fly & ride and it'll be with the wife.

 

Daytona Bike Week...Tradition...Starts the touring season for me.

Interesting results so far. The first timers and the regulars that aren't going are about equal. Maybe a normal attendance for Bike Week instead of the low that has been predicted? Hard to tell. The reason there is no "never been and not this year either" option is that since you haven't attended in the past and aren't attending this year,you won't really affect the attendance numbers one way or another. If you are wanting to go, I hope you get the chance some day. For me, 4 months of ice and snow is enough! I wanna ride!

 

Need more choices ... I've been before and won't bother going again. Economy has nothing to do with it either. I'll still with the local bike fests like Leesburg, FL.

 

Usually go for 3-4 days, this year probably just one day.

 

Headin down from Jersey with a buddy. Trailering the bikes, leaving on Feb 18th, straight through to Orlando fo 2 nights, St Pete's for 2-3 nights, then Key west for a few. After that we are Daytona bound, never been but can't wait...should be a great trip

 

This will be my 4th year going. me and a friend will trailer our bikes to North Carolina from Rhode Island. We will ride from there to Daytona doing the back roads, route 401,15,17,1 and maybe swing over to a1a (nice ride). After a week in Daytona we will ride to the Keys (1st time there for me). After the Keys we'll head home and broke again, lol
