Default What's worse than rain?

I hate riding in the rain, I avoid it like the plague and softly sob to myself as my precious gets coated in filth. But what is worse than rain? Wet manure on the road! Just gotta love riding in the rain on 896 in Lancaster PA. The Amish leave little piles to slide through when the roads are wet.

I got home tonight wet, cold, and covered in Holy S***t!

Snow, ice, freezing cold... to name a few. You know, a typical north eastern winter.

I have not experienced any nasty weather yet, but for my personal experience rain and then lack of visability. since the worst weather I had to endure was light shower and steady rain. The worst I can share is light rain then it turns into "cat and dogs" and can't the front wheel and no where to hide from it.

Rode to Winchester VA one day clear and dry as we were looking around in the dealership it start to rain lightly. So we decided to head home with rain gear on and figured we can handle it. as soon as we got on the road and nothing but windy roads ahead of us it came down hard. so hard I could not see my front wheel of course there was nothing ahead to hide under but go slow so we were not sitting duck on the side of the road for someone to hit.

I weigh 165 lbs. by the time the rain gave us a break I was pushing 300 lbs. I think even my rain gear soaked up some water.

Try Ronks Road that runs through Ronks by Florey's, on the way from 340 to 30, that has a lot of farms and horsey droppings in it also. The back road through Centerville by the Amish General Store, 772, you name it, they all have little surprises. See how much fun it is when you're leaned over in a curve coming down 772 and there is a fresh pile in the road right where your leaned over bike is headed. At least a heavy rain washes some of the stuff off the road.

rain is actually kinda fun Snow gets annoying though. I've got to go run to my old place tonight... 20 miles or so, and it's flaking. Guess I'll layer up.
