Lookin' for the best deal on a quality 2-bike trailer that I'll only be using maybe once or twice a year? What do you guys think?

If you are going to use 1-2 times a year, why not rent one when you need it?

How far are the trips? Open or enclosed?
The trailer I have was a snowmobile trailer. It is all steel. I bought the trailer, added removeable Wheel chocks, eyebolts for tiedown points. Also made 2x12" ramps that mount as sides. I have less than $250 invested and it works great for hauling just about anything, including the bikes.

I bought a used Kendon 2 rail trailer, '96 model, about 3 years ago for $500. Excellent trailer, folds up and rolls into the corner of the garage.

Not enough information. I have a 6x12 enclosed that I insulated. Added roof air and removable wheel chocks with tie downs in the floor. We haul the bikes when necessary--camp in it when we want to. We will take this trailer and leave the camper at home unless we need the space. Got about $3,000 invested now. Could sell it for that easily.

I'm not looking for something to fancy...just something to take 2 bikes out for about 500 miles round trip. An open trailer is fine. Something like a Kendon would be perfect, just didn't want to spend $2,500! Just something as simple as possible to take 2 bikes from a short point A to B.

The Kendon. It is very well built and stores upright in the back of the garage. I don't know if I spelled the name right.

I've been seeing 2 rail Kendons on Craigslist pretty regularly (around Omaha anyway) for $1200-$1500. I recently picked up a single rail for $1000. Love the easy storage part of it!
