Buying new Road King. Dealer price for extended service plan for 7 years is $1498.00 which includes tire and wheel coverage. Is this a good price. Is this good to have. Are prices firm or do they run different at different dealers. Thanks David

 

I could not answer that as I have never bought an extended warrantee

 

I got the extended warrentee, but only because the dealer said they would drop the APR on the loan down to pay for it, THEY have control over the percentage rate you get charged so you can deal on it. The dealer gets money for selling at a higher inerest rate, but they also get money for selling the warrentee, so they can trade it off in your favor. At least that is what the finance guy told me.

 

Cancelled mine, got a check from warrentee company for 730 and a check from the stealer for 970. guess what the stea;ler was to make 970 on the deal. what a friggan joke. they also charge 50 per repair also. bank the money and pay as you go.

 

To each his own on this subject. I thought it to be a waste of money so I did not get it on my bike or my truck..
