Default Vivid Black paint match??

Fellas,

Is there a rattle can spray paint that is a match to the Vivid black? If so what brand, style etc...

I have a couple of parts i want to paint, but don't want to have them done by a professional or have them powder coated.

thanks for the heads up

All quality black paint is the same so match is not an issue. You'll need a black basecoat and a clear coat to achieve the same depth as the hd finish. Regular glossy black spray paint won't have the same look - you need a base & clear.

Good luck,
Steve

I have had good luck with Krylon sanding primer and duplicolor automotive Gloss Black. I sand the first coat of primer with 400 grit and the second with 600. first color coat with 600 and the results look very good. I also use Krylon clear without sanding. Take your time. prep the surface and you will be amazed at how good a spray can can look.

Good info, but as pigpipes said, black is black in any quality brand. I don't know how much "Hundred Dollar" wants for "vivid" black, but I'd have to guess it's expensive??

$.02

And HD doesn't even make the paint, they just have someone make and label it for them.
