Default Chicago Harley Davidson Savings

Just received my front and rear tires from Chicago HD. Took 14 days from day of order (Christmas and New Years holidays included). Saved a total of $63.34 over buying from local dealer including state tax. By anybodys book, that is a great savings. I usually buy all of my items that I am willing to wait for from Chicago HD. I highly recommed them if you have the time to wait. It has never been more than 14 days delivery time. I have bought a number of items from them the last 18 months and have been satisfied with all the transactions.

I didn't need the tires at this point but decided to buy them. Prices always go up and they might become difficult to buy during the current company turmoil. Just wanted to have an extra set on hand, eventually I will need them.

Wow. good for you. I went there when I was in Chicago last year and I thought everything was kinda high priced just because it was "Chicago HD". Guess I was wrong. I'll have to try online shopping.

I bought my Ultra from Chicago HD (CHD) during the days of price gouging and waiting lists. CHD charged me MSRP, waived freight and prep charges and included $500 in free accessories.

Now, when it comes to their internet sales, they need improvement. CHD offers 20% off, but they are very very slow at shipping orders. In fact, I got fed up and canceled my last one.

+1 on Chicago HD
They saved me a bunch of money vs the local dealers on the big stuff..good service and shipping..about 10 days from order date..kind of hate to do that..but I still support a couple of the local dealers

Have had several good and one horrible experience with them. Switched to a different online vendor.

I've bought numerous things from them. They have really good prices, if you can deal with waiting.......I'm usually very impatient which makes the wait seem worse than it probably really is. I usually only buy the higher priced stuff from them to also save on the tax, otherwise I would try Zannoti's but I live in PA and would have to pay tax.

Unless things have changed, CHD rarely if ever takes product off the shelf. They place numerous orders during the week for their internet orders. This is why it's typically 10-14 days to get your stuff. Longer if it's backordered obviously.
Otherwise, I've found them to be very good. A couple other dealers are usually faster.

Justut all of the on-line dealers never touch the parts you order...

They basically forward the order directly to Harley, and have them shipped to you. This saves you because they don't have tyo handle it, it makes money for them, because it only takes one or two clerks to run the derpartment, and they don't have to handle or warehouse the parts.

I always compare Zannottis and Chicago, and order from whichever one gives me the best deal on the entire order. I have no problem waiting 2 weeks, in 4 years, I have NEVER waited any longer than that. I usually only order larger ticket items. Small dollars still go to my local dealer, but once it hits that 100.00 mark...its on-line.
