Just bought $300MM in HD debt....stock went up 15%....

My bet is he ends up making a nice profit in a few years.

 

Yeah, that was yesterday. HOG closed down 7.5% today ($12.70).

 

Stock took a nice little blip up yesterday on the news of the Buffett/Davis bond purchases. Stock dropped over a dollar today, though. However, it's still early, and Mr. Buffett isn't known for pumping liquidity into companies about to go bankrupt.

 

I just saw this on Fox Business News. We'll see where this leads to or his intentions. I hope for the best.

 

That man makes me nervous. He always has an agenda and it ain't always money !!!!

 

It will interesting to watch and see what comes of this.

 

for many years he was a share holder at gillette safety razor company and as soon as p&g took over he dumped all his shares made millions and milions of dollars. i think he's a p.o.s. looking to make even more money. just my .02 cents.

 

that's how the rich get richer.....

 

It's hard to argue with a man who has 300 mil to spend on any given day no matter what his motivation is.

 

Two things:
The regular Wall Street barons make money off of other shmucks buying and selling securities of companies that the barons couldn't care less about.

Warren makes or loses money based on the value of pieces of companies that he personally owns and influences.

His track record is awesome.
