Alefs HD in Wichita, KS
If there are areas for specific dealer post feel free to move this....
Just wanted to share a good experience I had with a dealership. A couple of month’s back I took an HD Brawler seat in that was obviously defective. I got it for my Nightster in April of 2008. In less than a month, the bottom felt began to peel away. It didn't appear that it would cause any major issues to the bike so I figured I would live with it. I was way off as I discovered that the seat rubbed some of the paint completely off my fender. Sadly, I didn't catch that the seat was damaging my paint until it was already too late. Alefs worked with HD corporate for about 3 months in an attempt to get the seat and fender fixed under warranty. After 3 months, Harley made the disappointing decision (current economy probably was part of the problem) not to honor this damage under warranty. Therefore, I was stuck with a defective seat that I would not dare sell to a fellow Harley owner, and a messed up fender.
Now for the good news!!! Alefs parts manager called me today and informed me the dealership would make things right by giving me a store credit for the cost of the seat, and replace the fender because of the damage caused by the defective seat. Harley corporate left me hanging, but Alefs stepped up and made things right. I appreciate a dealership doing this even during these tough economic times. They will definitely continue to get my business.
Thanks to the Nate and the other guys and gals at Alefs!!!
