Question Have You Tried Chilhowee Leather???

Anyone with recent experience concerning Chilhowee Leather? Just looking at one of their leather jackets online but have had no dealings with them.

I know Foxcreek has a big following here (I've purchased from them too) but a similar Foxcreek jacket is made from a much heavier cut of leather and I didn't want to go that way.

Any feedback on Chilhowee would be appreciated.

TIA!

I have bought several things from Chil over the years, nothing in the last year or so tho, but I was always very happy with the quality and the transactions.

My wife bought some chaps last year and the liner was'nt sewn in properly. You could not zip or unzip without catching the liner. She called and talked to a lady (forget name) who informed us they had to be returned UPS prepaid.

My wife thought they should issue a call tag as they were defective. We sent them back and felt as if we were getting the run around, first they had a replacement in stock then they were out of stock.?????

We finally said screw it and got a refund.

Maybe others have had more success with them and I don't mean to bad mouth them. But that was our only experience.

I've never bought clothing, but I've bought several sets of saddlebags over the years from them and have always been pleased with the quality and, in one case when I needed it, their responsive customer service.
