A month after I took delivery of my 05flstsci, a small paint bubble appeared on my gas tank and the dealership ordered a new tank and installed it at no cost. Maybe it depends on the dealership you are doing business with.

 

Take it all the way to the top, bro. HD caused that problem, HD should fix it.

 

I would be firm about having the problem fixed...whatever that entails. If the dealship is not willing to help you, let them know they will have no further business from you or your friends. I would stand by my word on this!

I agree. Stand your ground and make the dealer fight the MoCo to get it fixed.

I dont think your being too **** at all. You bought a new 06 bike and it should look like it has a new 06 paint job. Hopefully your dealer will do the right thing. Keep us informed on how they treat you in this matter.

Absolutely not! You've paid a fair whack of money for a quality product. It may be small but definately not insignificant.

My bike had paint chipping around the mounting hole of the front fender. They replaced the fender twice. Your dealer needs to concider that there are others around. I would try another dealer. I think your warranty is honored at any dealer.

 

raise hell you bought a brand new bike . this crap of any thing is B.S. it is to be perfect no flaws at all .bug them to death.let us know how it turns out.
