Now, jus' think 'bout this for a second or two.

IF you lived up here, this would not have happened to you. Cause it's STILL below 0, and ridin' season ends in Oct here, so you wouldn't have been on the road in Nov.

$1000 HUH??? That's friggin' NUTS!!!

Worst speeding on a scoot was in Virginia Beach. 75+ in a 40, plus we were using the white line dashes for 'cones' and 'practicing' our counter-steering technique, slalom style. If I remember right, it was 'bout $75 bucks after we dickered a bit. But this was in '71, and $75 was a lot of coin. Especially for a 19 yr old sailor.

Maybe you shoulda slugged her. I think the fine for assault is only $550.

My fastest ticket was for 130mph in a 55 (in my Camaro). Fastest bike ticket was 97 in a 60. Trust me, I'm older and wiser now. $250 for the cage ticket (this was back in the early 80's). $200 and change for the bike.

WOW - You did not question that? I would have fought that just to get it reduced. I think the biggest ticket was 125 and that was 50 in a 25 in some little town in Arkansas.

A few years back I got pulled over in TX for 90+ in a 55 out in the middle of nowhere. the cop wrote me for 88 because he said anything over 90 and he would have to take me to jail. I dont know what the fine would have been as it wasn't written on the ticket (mandatory court appearance) I hired a lawyer, he kept it off my record, I wrote a check to the lawyer for $350, that included lawyer, court fees, fine etc. And I never had to appear in court.

That sucks big time especially when everyone else around you were probably going just as fast.I hate going through Atlanta because of the traffic and if you do run the speedlimit you'll get you but runover. It's not right they pick a few out of the crowd that all doing the same thing.

I was young and scared at the time. They dropped the reckless operation and I was just glad to get it over with and get the hell out of there. And I really was going that fast, at least according to the speedo.

HELSINKI, Finland — At 46 miles an hour, he didn't set any land-speed records. But Nokia executive Anssa Vanjoki could set the record for the costliest ever speeding ticket — a $103,000 fine.
Vanjoki, a 45-year-old executive vice president of Nokia's mobile phones division, is fighting to get the fine reduced.

I remember this one. They base their fines on your ability to pay. Guess he could pay it.
