Live up to the hype? Just looking at my Road King makes me feel good, so I should say so.

It did for me I am addicted to it, look where I am right now replying to a post on the Harley Forum. I find myself going out checking on the bike cannot wait to have a nice day just to get her out. I have been on a few other bikes and nothing IMO compares.

No, my '07 Wide GLide has not lived up to the hype I have read about here on HD forums.

It starts everytime I hit the start button, it shifts great, it runs perfect and it has never let me down. I enjoy riding it everythime I get on it. It is the bike I have always wanted and I love it.

No real hype for me. I took the driving test at 18 on my brothers sportster. Ten years later I bought a sportster, it was everything I remembered. The only disappointment was the other riders telling me I wasn't suppose to ride a sportster cross country. Silly me, I thought you rode what you had and two wheels was better than four. Now I get to listen to how I should have a windshield, conform to the fashion police and have a gps to lead me by the nose down the road.

I never knew there was hype involved when I bought my FLHX. So I don't know if it lives up to the hype or not. I do know I enjoy the hell out of riding it.

Exceeded my expectations. I have had more fun and met more fantastic people as a result. The wife and I now have something we really enjoy doing together. I have spent alot of disposable income on toys only to be used a few years and then moved on. Our hogs have became a lifestyle for us

I bought my first Harley in oct of 96. A brand new '97 softail custom. I was 27 at the time and had always wanted one since i was 14. It was definetly worth the wait. I still have her but now she has a big sister... an 09 Road Glide
