It was much better after I bought my first one.Wanting one and owning one are two different feelings.Try wanting one for a long time, buy one, own for a long time then you make the decision.Just seeing mine on the kickstand in the garage makes me proud !

I bought my first Harley last year and was only able to put on 5000 miles. That's because I live in this great place where the snow and cold never stop. Can't wait until I can ride again. Love my Harley.

My Fat Bob has more than lived up to the hype. Have gotten more comments in the few months I have had it than any of my other bikes. A really satisfying ride and cool garage decoration.

My first Harley was an old FLH Shovelhead, it lived up to the shovelhead hype! I never spent so much time working on a motorcycle, but I do have to say it had lived a rough life before I got it. I probably had gotten everything fixed on about the time I put it in someone elses home. As far as the rest of my Harleys I have owned they lived up to my expectations.

Yes my bike (07 FLSTC) has been living quite above my expectations. My dream bike was only HD's. When I decided to that it was time to start riding again only a Harley whould do. Checked out other brands but nothing could live up to the Harley legend. Not been disapointed in almost 2 years, don't think I will ever be. Only wish I had started years ago.

The bike is just what I expected, no more and no less.

All the hype I hear is about the lifestyle. Still not sure exactly what that is or why anyone would pay for it.

I remember when I was about to but my first HD, I called a buddy who owned one and asked the same question, it’s a huge cash outlay, is it really worth it? He simply said "yes".
Looking back I'm glad he said that, because it's worth every penny and then some, in fact, knowing what I know now, if Harley's cost twice as much as they currently do, I would still find a way to own one!
It's part of my life, I can’t imagine being without one.
I would honestly live in a cardboard box if I had to before I would give up my Harley.

Funny, but yeah, mine lived up to the hype before I ever got it home. Bout 10 years ago bought a Softtail (lowered, apehangers, flame-job paint, pretty nice looking bike). So I'm riding it home in afternoon traffic and pull up beside this MILF (40's blond, hot) and she starts smiling, and waving and yelling to me! Im thinkin "Man, I'm gonna like this Harley sh&t!".
