After you bought your first harley, did it live up to the hype?

exceeded my expectations and I get extremely frustrated when I can't ride it because of the weather... (lol yeah I know I live in Fl but it still happens occasionally).

So far I love it. Have ridden about 20 years and only japanese bikes up until the Street Bob I just bought late October. Can't wait for the weather to warm up just a little more so I can ride it a lot more. Hoping to ride it some today and/or tomorrow.

Absolutely, I love my Ultra and get a thrill everytime I just look at it. Going through some serious withdrawal now, been 2 full months with only three days above 45, most of that the high has been in the 20's with ice and salt on the roads, the weather really sucks.

I can honestly say, owning a Harley has FAR surpassed our expectations! We have enjoyed every single minute of owning one, every single mile we have ridden, every adventure that we have come across and every single adventure we have had after we parked our bike for the night! Every single one. It's one of the best decisions we have ever made and we don't regret one single moment. We have been riding since 2001.....and hope to ride until we can't get on it anymore....which I hope is a LONG time away. We had a wonderful marriage before buying a Harley but somehow miraculously it just intensified everything even more after we bought our first one in 2001. Who woulda guessed it.

Hell ya, so much so that I am buying a second bike. Working a second job now for a year or so. I'm gonna pay cash for the next bike like I did my fatboy. Half way to an ultra as we speak. Rode sport bikes for 16 yrs, spent the last 2 on my fatboy. Man. I wish I would have switched over sooner.

Absolutely!
When I got my bike home, my wife looked 20 years younger, the kids quit fighting, the neighbors all starting coming by and the little crippled kid down the street started walking again! J/K...the only down side about my bike is that all my other hobbies have been ignored.
