Annoying Co-Workers
Do any of you guys have people that you work with who just love to ask you if you rode your bike on days when the weather is sh*tty? I even work in a place that has at least three other Harley riders, but it never seems to fail that I get asked if I rode if the weather is horrible. Sometimes like three or four times by different people.
I can take a joke and all, but it gets really old…….We were out of work the last three days because of ice here and sure enough this guy shot off about it. I sniped back that he was really witty and hoped he caught on that I’m getting tired of it.

i get the "oh your a ***** (or not a real biker) cuz its downpouring and you didnt ride"
um, i'm a biker, not an idiot, if its raining when i leave for work, COMMON SENSE tells me to take to cage
if i get caught in the rain, i get caught in the rain and just ride it out
was fun over the summer, downpour on the GSP at 1 a.m. and me with no front fender
yup, i'm a *****

Yeah I had that happen but what I have a hard time figuring out is when they're not joking
and have either an envious or sarcastic tone. I don't know if they're asking because they're
really thinking
"I knew you'd regret buying that once the weather got nasty"
or if they're thinking
"Man I wish I had the ***** to get a bike too.... tell me you didn't ride today or hated riding
today so I won't be so damn envious"

Every day I go to work, as I go across the parking deck, (on level 2), I see this really nice BMW motorcycle. Not my style, but nice. The thing that impresses me the most is this bike is there in ALL kinds of weather. No matter if it's cold, snowy, icy, hot,...does not matter, it's still there. And I get there in the dark in the mornings...he rides it in the dark too. After many months of admiring it, I find out that it's one of the pharmacists that works there. I talked with him about it. I told him he was hard core.

I used to do it to a guy I worked with because he was one of those blow hard, know-it-alls who's stuff is better than everybody elses. You know the kind, we've all worked with one somewhere in our lives.
