Annoying Co-Workers
#11
Have fun with it, a good quick witted comment can have them wondering all day if you were serious.
Example - Did you ride to work today (and it's snowing). . . Yeah, got up early so I could strap on the snow chains, so glad I bought those last month.

I get asked all the time. Did you ride today? Why not, too cold? etc. etc. Even when it's cold it's still fun to ride, but figure out the wind chill for 28 degrees with 65 mph and see what you get. I tell them to stick their heads out the window while riding to work and see how long you can take it.

Strange coincidence. I was asked the same question today at work. I just figured it was because I was wearing the leather jacket, & gauntlet gloves (just convenient to put on this morning because that was the stuff I had out already).
Definitely non-riders that asked. Freezing rain yesterday on top of snow, with a re-freeze last night. 29° right now.
If it wasn't salted yesterday, it's glazed today. I nearly fell and slid under my truck in my own driveway. A scoot would have ben suicidal without spiked tires. Would have made an interesting fireworks show on the dry pavement though.

um, i'm a biker, not an idiot, if its raining when i leave for work, COMMON SENSE tells me to take to cage
if i get caught in the rain, i get caught in the rain and just ride it out
was fun over the summer, downpour on the GSP at 1 a.m. and me with no front fender
yup, i'm a *****

Also rode with no front fender while waiting for replacement from wreck for about 2 weeks. Got caught in rain once. I had water going in places I've NEVER had it before.
Co-worker once told me if you don't ride because of 50% chance of rain, there's 100% chance you'll miss a good ride.

Do any of you guys have people that you work with who just love to ask you if you rode your bike on days when the weather is sh*tty? I even work in a place that has at least three other Harley riders, but it never seems to fail that I get asked if I rode if the weather is horrible. Sometimes like three or four times by different people.
I can take a joke and all, but it gets really old…….We were out of work the last three days because of ice here and sure enough this guy shot off about it. I sniped back that he was really witty and hoped he caught on that I’m getting tired of it.

Can't directly relate to your issue, but.....
I too have been part of this crappy weather in OKCthe past few days!!! Sucks...
I too have VERY annoying co-workers...
Haven't had any issues specific to the nature...
Haven't had a bike for 2 years now...
Am very excited about Saturday.. 63 degrees!! finally get to pick up the new fatboy!!
Good luck!

Nobody asks me, cause I do ride to work everyday. quite a few Harley riders and metrics and I haven't seen their bikes.so they tend to avoid that question. One did try to raise up and say he took care of his ride by not getting it out in crappy weather. I looked at him and said" Oh, you're a bike owner, not a bike rider".
