Locking seat bolts???

Is this really an issue? I saw an ad the other day for a lock mechanism for the detachable luggage rack (but not one for the detachable backrest). I've always been more worried about the whole bike disappearing than any of the parts off of it.

actually the small collapsible torx set i carry on my bikeis just what is needed to get those off. lol. i figure why carry regular torx, when mine will remove both styles should i ever need to. every autoparts store and wally world carrys the bits for these, not very secure.

I'm going with a 1/4"-20 3/8 25 pack. Won't have to worry about losing them for a long time.
Getting the 'Pin-in Torx' variety with an L-wrench and a drop-in bit for good measure.

I use license plate security bolts from Wal-Mart. Shaped like a small round pyramid w/ 4 small indents around it, and carry the key on my keychain.

Kinda PIA to remove because of passager seat and tour pak, can only turn the key ~1/8 of a turn at a time.

That is simular to what I have. Got them from McMaster-Carr. Works great.
