Shovelheads.......Who Said.....

I can only afford 1 bike at a time so been thinking about a great compromise and the S&S motors seem to be the best solution for me. I've been spoiled with this twin cam.
Don't want to go to an after market frame with an after market motor. That makes it a special construction here in California (low value but high rates when it comes to insurance). With a Harley VIN on the frame, insurance company looks at it as a Harley.
Doombuggy, you got your Dresser for the long hauls and you want a chopper for 'around town'. Wish I could get there, but got that 'sunshine tax' here. My hat is off to ya.

Gourgeous motorcycle!!!! Looks a lot like my last Stroked Shovel For me it lacks something for a front fender. All the Shovels I owned never leaked oil, except for what was slung off the chain.

I'm going to be honest. I loved my shovel at the time. Wrenchin' or not, it was a sweet ride. But when I got that new EVO... I was ecstatic!! Love the look of the shovel, but love the look of the knuckle even more. But for ridin', that EVO was the bike of the century as far as I'm concerned. Throw a bigger cam in it, do a little head work, and that thing would scream! Yea, I miss the old days, but I'm still a fan of progress. A guy really needs more that just a couple of bikes in the garage to satisfy all the urges. Thanks Gump for memories.

They are all impressive to look as far as I am concerned.Even the Evo's and TwinCams. After all a Harley is a Harley no matter what the pump looks like.

Personally thought the knucklehead was the best looking engine looks wise .. But agree the Evo is the Die Hard of them all would like to see a record of which engines lasted longest with nothing done but routine maintenance and bet the Evo would win out hands down..
