Default $47K tied up in a Road King

and it didn't start life as a CVO model.

I met a guy who was bragging about his $47K King.

I just shook my head and thought for $47K I would own 6 or 7 biles. Dirt, Street, Track, Cruiser, Tourer and I might enough change to insure them all.

I know, to each their own but my God, 47K in a King? I figured he bought everything at full price and didn't wrench one thing himself. All dealer installed.

Take a really good look at that bike and if you know bikes try and figure out where he put that 47K. If you can't see it, it likely isn't there.

Would like to have seen a picture of that? Sounds like 2 real nice FLH's to me or a healthy down payment on a house

I've owned 5 Road Kings.

Maybe he thought I was impressed but I wasn't.

20K for a new King, 6K in goodies and labor. $47 doesn't add up.

I walked away from him.

$20K for a king???? geez! ya can get a ultra for 20,500 .Besides if you were going to do a custom RK , why not start with a $15,900 police version , as you are already planning on chan ging many things.

There's plenty of posers out there. Easy to spot also. $47,000 and 47 miles don't make you a rider

"kids say the dumbest things" I'd have to see that King to believe it... $47K I don't think so... Or he's got a whole lot more $$ than he has brains.... And there's a lot of that going around now that I think of it...LoL

My last King was an 03 Anniv. Edition. I haven't shopped for one lately.

It used to be List Price Plus.
