... Bought a gel seat pad for long rides...
At the Great American Motorcycle Show in Norcross, GA (Atlanta) I broke down and picked up on of those gel seat pads. I have a stock solo seat that I actually like, but for long rides it's a pain in the a$$ (pun intended). Anyone else hear have any experience with them? I didn't have the chance to put it to the test.

They are great!
I have a v-rod with stock seat which is NOT confortable. I finally decided to try a gel pad and it was like night and day. Great inventment.
The seat on my new Fat Bob is way more confortable than the stock v-rod seat so I have not tried it on it yet.

I may get one for Mama for the pillion. She complains about the seat if too long of a ride. My rider seat is fine and comfortable but the gel pad may do the trick for her.

I took our jackets in today for some sewing of patches.
Noticed a sign and had to ask.
They insert the gel into the seat for a stock look.
I will tell my wife since she does not like the feel on her 08 Heritage.
Me, I could probably ride on concrete,
I am interested on further replys.

No experience with the gel, but I have a sheepskin pad from Alaska Leather that works great! Cool in the summer and warm in the winter because it's breathable, and the comfort is 10x better than stock. If the gel pad doesn't work out, give a sheepskin pad a try. BTW, it follows the contour of the seat perfectly, so it looks custom and not like an add on.
