Default cost for painting

What would you expect to pay for a Kandy single color paint job with some hand painted pinstriping? I am getting mine painted Kandy rootbeer and wanted to see what some others have paid.

We need some more info. Is it a 3pc set or a full dresser? What condition are your tins in?

Been pricing for wife's Heritage, so going to be watching this. We have priced HD's, but she just wants something more individual.

From what I have seen it will be 2 to 3 grand.

I have a fatboy too and wanted the fender rivets cleaned up and the tank seam smoothed out. I was looking for some ghost flames on a black base. Went to 2 highly recommended local shops and they were like 3200. There is a shop that will paint your tins if you want to ship to their shop. They were in the mid 2000. Prices may be a little less now with the economy slowing as it is and I'm near Wash Dc.

You should be able to find someone locally .When I had my bike painted I did all of the prep and primer and then I went to my local auto bodyshop had them spray the base coat .then took it to a local artist airbrusher young college student $100 bucks for a day and they are happy. then back to the body shop for the clear.total bill including my supplies was $850. The quality of the paint makes all the differance I would recommend PPG

Had the wifes Deluxe painted last year. Used a black with Ice, and lots of airbrush work. Total cost was 2200.00

Had my ultra pinstripped...with some artwork on the fairing, 800.00

It all depends on WHO you go to, and how good they are.

I bought brand new tins from Jireh, $250 (6 gallon tank, front and rear raw metal), had my cousin paint it. He used a poly type primer, two coats of clear. $800 for the Job. He used Dupont Hot Kandy Rasberry over Pot of Gold. I've got ton mor pics if you want. Another professional shop told be $2500, so I went with the family discount.

On my old RKC I had light blue ghost flames painted in with the factory vivid blk and clear coated again. The work was done by one of the best in my area and it cost me $1,000 for just that.

I went to a bike show 2 weeks ago and talked to each of the body/paint vendors. One guy told me about $1500, while another told me $250 per piece. Another told me around $850 to $1K. I want just nice plain black paint job without graphics. However, a pinstripe would be nice. I know another guy that painted a buddies bike for $200 plus supplies. Try putting a ad on craigslist. Tell them you don't want to spend more than XX and see what you get. Lots of desperate folks out there right now.
