Have a GPS in my P/U where it's handy to locate places but not needed on the bike.

It's not the destination... It's the journey....

Damn GPS' & cell phones. I don't ride twice with folks that have to stop every 15 minutes to check their emails, send an email, text or call someone. If you're that important, you don't need to be with me!!!

I don't like GPS' just because of principle. Too many gadgets/gimmicks these days...

you got it!!!

I heard that the MoCo is even thinking about getting rid of our manual spark advance. there is no way a machine will be able to do a better job than the rider can...

I have a garmin handheld,it mounts on the handle bars, and I use it for geocaching ,it is a game ,people hide treasures all over the USA ,and they give you the cordinince enter it in the gps ,and go look for it.I also have the mapping in my gps so it will also work like the ones that mount in your car or bike. No mater where you live there probaley is a geocache within a half mile from your home!!!!!!!!!!

Imagine that, the anti-GPS guys still don't like the idea of a gps on a bike....

I'd jump on the bandwagon in an instant, but I can't find anything wrong with having one...

I love mine.

So how often do you look at those marked up maps? Did you take notes on the name of the spot you marked? Why was it marked, was the food good? Was it bad? Did you like the view? Did you note which photos you took at that spot on the map? If you suddenly had a craving for that BBQ sandwich right now, how long would it take you to find your way back to that spot on your map? Does your map remind you of that speed trap when you are enjoying that open road a little too much? Can it tell you where the closest drug store is when the truck in front of you kicks that rock up, and you really need a bandaid and some Advil?

Don't get me wrong, I feel there are too many people out there that couldn't read a map to save their life. I use maps daily at work, without them I wouldn't make it to your house in time to put out the fire. But remember, there are a lot of things that GPS can do that your map cannot.
i reckon i stepped into someones elses holy war, but since you asked...

i look at them now and again when i can't ride and need a fix. i remember it all. or, enough of it to make me happy.

i think its important to leave the whiz-blinkers and what-not at home. technology and Harley-Davidson aren't two words i'd use in the same sentence.

Thanks! Right back at ya!

I did some changing over the holidays, but haven't pushed it out of the garage for decent pics yet.
