We are still planning our yearly trip down to the area. But we are not planning on stepping foot into city limits. There is so much more to do outside of the city anyways. The city will just dry up over time. Their loss.

Ride safe and keep the rubber side down
us up North, stay warm later this week

Follow the money. They didn't like bikers 2 weeks out of the year, let's see how they like casino gambling 52 weeks a year.

Thought about going once to check it out but will probably never go now. Too many places where I am welcome and my obnoxious motorcycle and obnoxious *** is less offensive as long as I bring the money.

I'd rather go some place that wanted me anyways. Lots of places to choose from.

Myrtle Beach is going to miss the revenue, especially in the current economy.

I wish they would just come out and admit the real reason was not "Myrtle Beach Bike Week" but rather "Sport Bike Week" aka "Memorial Day Bike Week" aka some other less PC names.

I actually ran a bar in MB for a while (Two Dollar Bills) and got to know a lot of the local business owners, particularly hospitality/food/beverage businesses. They loved bike week. They closed during "sportbike" week. And they got sued for it.
