Metal can always be replaced...
His physical condition may not be able to be 100% repaired though.
More times than not bike wrecks are rather unforgiving..

I"ll make this short...I had a bike crash,36 yrs ago..The 3rd day a girl had her permit,hooked a U-Turn from the curb,I hit her at 45mph.slide 7 houses.I busted up my foot really bad,only the Ins.Co.can total a bike,within 7 mo. I had 45K in my hand....oh yeah lawyer -sue-$$$$..thats why we pay for Insurance..tell your buddy to heal-up and hang in there and go shopping,for a new 2010....ps forget the old bike
