Do it. I traded in my 883C hopped up to a 1250 and haven't looked back. You will love the difference in the suspension. The Street Bob felt like a damn Cadillac compared to the Sporty.

It will be a very minor transition, The Street Bob is a great choice. It must be black to be the best choice.

Go for it. You'll be glad you did and will wonder why you didn't do it sooner.

If you can handle your Sporty then you can handle the Street Bob no problem. I would not worry to much about it being bigger. I have ridden a bike from each family with the exception of the VRODs, and the Sportster and the Touring family are probably the most difficult to master. The Sporty for the high center of gravity and the tourers because they weigh over 800 pounds and you sit up pretty high. The Softails are the easiest to handle with their low seat heights and center of gravity with the Dynas not far behind. But that is just my opinion. Check to see if any of your local dealers have rentals, then rent a Dyna and find out for yourself.

Great choice! I have an 08 Street Bob and love it.
Some quirks to consider tho - they come stock with mid foot pegs/controls.
I just can't ride like that.
That was a spendy upgrade to forward controls.
Also the position of the shocks gives limited selection if you want saddle bags.
To me it is just the coolest looking Harley made.
1000 mile ride this summer left no complaints for comfort either.
Go for it!

My wife rides a Sportster and I ride a 08 Street Bob. Biggest mistake in 08 was to let her ride my bike - now she wants to trade her Sporty for a Street Bob also ...

Just do it - the right choice
