Who lives in SoCal and is willing to help me install cams?
I know you are out there, hiding behind a keyboard and monitor reading this wondering who I am. I want to do my cams but will not tackle this task alone and without a proper garage. If you are willing to help me with the install I will make it worth your while (not like that) in whatever way I can. I wnat to learn this install so I can pass it on and help others instead of spending twice as much money at the shop. Help a brother out.

Ditto here... I have the garage and the tools, but I've never done the swap either. My local indy firend would help us out with advice if we got stuck.
I didn't realize you so were serious about this when we were talking earlier.

I have read that if it is greater than .02 then you can't do gears. I don't even understand exactly what this is, but I will find out...

Crank run out is how "strait" your crank shaft is. The .02 speck is how many inches (.02) it bent and still be acceptable for gear driven cams. Since the gears are driven right off the crank, if there was any wobble, the gears could possibly smack together and and grenade your motor.
