Who's "They"? I always hear "Tire" sale, not car tire, truck tire or bus tire sale. LOL

WOW, did you get hosed. Might want to do some shopping around next time because you ought be able to get a set of both tires for that price!!!! And I don't mean car tires, I mean genuine motorcycle tires.

Mounted and balanced. The tire for the rear is like 240 dollars. It is a 200 back there.

Stretch, just think of it this way: CT's are designed to withstand stressed FAR and BEYOND anything you can or will EVER put on them on a bike, including the flexion.
Secondly, we who run them usually have studied the Darkside forums intensely before crossing over. The GoldWingers have been successfully run them for a long time, there are millions of accumulated miles without problems and once you run one, after a very short time for your neural learning to create muscle memory for the initial push into the corners, you find that it's much better and don't even notice it anymore.
For the rest of the answers, you need to read this whole thread.

I just love these threads. So many here that don't have a clue what motorcyle tires looked like decades ago, or that car tires were routinely run "back in the day."

So..if I don't concur with the ct users, I'm clueless? I don't think
so. Been there, done that. I have the feeling your talking from
what you read on forums and not from actually experiencing
"back when."
Back in the day all tires were a joke, and if you think "I" would
consider running anything from back then your wrong. Old cycle
tires were in fact "clincher type" Not something you want today.
Cycle tires today have been engineered to be the best compromise
for there intended job, if car tires were better suited they would
be standard equipment. This crap is like arguing politics.

Right and wrong. Even car tires were crap back in the day, as well as bike tires, and blowouts were common. When was the last time you heard a blowout on the street?

There is a history of bike tires that led to where they are today and why people think they can't run anything else. Of course they aren't standard equipment - for one thing they only work well on the back AFAIK, and are not suited for many bikes or riders. There has to be a generic formula that works for everyone or it can't be sold.
It's spreading rapidly here amongst the riding groups and I see no difference in their attachment to them than what we read online. Set for life.

My former post was, obviously, in jest as much as troll fodder.

Would like to install a run flat car tire on my 2005 ultra classic with a side car installed.
Would any one in this forum give me some advise please
