car tire on a harley

I suspect that 70's tire was a bias ply....and current radial tire technology is lightyears beyond that era. I've run 3 radial high performance car tires on my bike; all at normal suggested operating pressure. Works just fine, but I respect your right to ride what you feel comfortable with.

Nope, 70,000 miles on my Valkyrie with CT's, and I'm looking for a CT to put on my 2010 Super Glide once I wear out the original Michelin (probably in a month or so). Figure if it could handle a much heavier and more powerful bike like my Valk it ought to do fine with a little FXD.

I'm about 1000 miles into a 205/55/17 car tire (07 FLSTF). Yes, the slow speed turns are different and it does seem to track grooves in the pavement. Before the CT I went through (5) D407, never could get used to center of the tire bald with plenty of side tread left.

Cadman: Why don't you give it a rest man. It's not like you will ever change anyone's mind. You're just acting like a petulant child now.
