both of them the Jersey city one as well, they ripped people off keeping there deposits, bikes where in pieces in the service department.
this dealer did not go under do to the economy, they went under because of poor management. they opened the jersey city dealer but in a horrible location and it was the size of a shoebox. no one ever went there cause there where on 3 parking spots for motorcycles and you might get bike jacked pulling out of the parking lot.
they owed 1.9 million dollars to Harley for bikes and parts, and where looking for investors. can you believe that? if you cam eto me and said can you invest in my dealership and owed 1.9 I would be the inverstor I would own you. and worse yet after I paid your dept and own your dealer ships I am still in the same hole you where in with horrible customer service and even worse management.

Brooklyn Harley, might as well be closed.
They have a string of VESPA's lined up outside.
It was embarrassing.
Do they even service warranty issues at Harley for Vespa's or is this something Brooklyn is doing as an Inhouse thing.
Whoa, Whoa, is me....

I had a good friend lose his job at that dealership. He was a tech there. The boys on the floor didn't even know anything about it until they walked into work that morning. Man what a kick in the teeth!!

Shumate Harley Davidson's "satellite" building on Hwy 2 in north Spokane is listed in the 2009 Hog Atlas as being open. Wrong. It never opened, not for even a day. The dealership on Trent Ave. is still open.

Elk Grove, CA Harley closing
Elk Grove Harley Davidson, about 20 miles south of Sacramento, California, will be closing I believe on August 15, 2009. According to one of their employees, they are consolidating with Sacramento Harley Davidson. (Same Owner) Kind of strange cause Elk Grove was a newer building in the super store style of Harley Stores. Sacramento is in a very old building, actually 2, and they have less room to expand if necessary. Makes me wonder about Rocklin, Folsom, and Amador Harley Davidson dealers. They all have the same owner. Amador is far away but Rocklin and Folsom are both in the Sacramento Greater Area with Elk Grove and Sacramento Harley.
According to one of the employees, the closing of the Elk Grove Store is not by choice but directed by Harley Davidson, just like GM is doing with some of its dealerships.
