Default Kuryakyn led turn signals

I just installed the kuryakyn led turn signals and tail light on my 05 street glide. i installed the load equalizer and the lights are blinking just fine. The problem is the load equalizer is getting extremely hot. i'm pretty sure I have the wiring right. Just didn't know if this was normal. Can anyone give me some advise please. Thank You.......

mine gets warm....not really hot. Unless I use the 'four-ways' for a awhile.
I was in a bike parade and decided to use my four-ways the entire ride (five miles).....at the end of the parade my turn sigfnals would not work. The equalizer over heated.
Once it cooled of, the signals were fine.

You need to purchase a Kuryakyn alarm compatible load equalizer. I assume you are using the Kuryakyn run-turn-brake controller, correct? If so then you need to purchase the alarm compatible equalizer. It will plug into the controller module. I had the exact same problem you were having until I purchased the alarm compatible equalizer.

Sounds like a cheapie Load EQ. The more expensive ones don't get as hot.

I had the same issue with my turn signals as well as they would blink normal speed three or four times and then speed up, I add a second load equalizer on the RTB (there is room for two if you got the Kuryakin RTB) and this resolved the issue. Have not had a problem since.
