My wife likes the short "sight-seeing" rides on nice sunny days, and it might include stopping for a bite to eat. She's not into the long rides, but my Low Rider might have something to do with that(hehe). She uses my time riding as her private time also, and understands every ride isn't going to be for her. She is happy to be on the back, and doesn't want her own bike, her choice, and will let me know when she's ready to go. We are very opposite people, and give each other lots of space. I have my tv downstairs, and she has hers upstairs. The deck is hers, and the garage is mine. The bedroom is ours.

My wife isn't into riding at all. Heck, she has trouble riding a pedal bike.

When I bought my Streetbob she sat on a custom sportster and she said she actually liked the feel of it. She freaked me out because she never liked bikes before and now she might be considering riding one. Man, this could become an expensive hobby.

I can't get my wife to get on the bike for anything in the world. She supports me regarding my bike she is the one that wants my engine diamond cut and powder coated. She bought the bike for me. I'm lucky I guess but I'm going broke fast.

My favorite candy is 18-25, blond, brunette, red head, OH....Sorry thats, a different post[sm=guilty.gif]
My lady loves to ride with me or by her self. Long rides, short rides, any rides. This is the honest truth, she never complains! Is always happy to go where I want to go, stop when I want to stop. But wait, there's more...I can take off and go riding by myself for hours and that's ok with her too. She simply wants to know what direction I'm headed so if I don't get home roughly when I say I will, she has an idea where to look for me.
How do I get this kind of women you might ask? I don't keep her locked in the basement 22 hours a day and the windows on my house are not boarded up or otherwise covered. She has her own car, works outside the home, her own 883, gets her nails done, hair done, goes shopping ect. I just don't abuse my free time away from the family. We have learned the give and take aspect of marriage. My other half knows how important to me motorcycling is and also knows that there is no better therapy for me. We've been together long enough to have three daughters, 19,18,15 and a son 5. I think we really have found balance. I love taking my wife with me[sm=smiley27.gif]

Thanks God my wife just loves It. When I got back into riding 5 years ago my wife had never been on a bike on her life, Im sure glad she instantly fell in love with It. Now we ride 2 up 95% of the time and thats just fine by me. She has no desire to ride ..for now...

My wife got me into riding, must like rogue_rob. She was a total Harley fanatic when I met her. Resisted for about a year, until I saw a Fatboy and got hooked! 2 Buell's, 1 Lowrider, and my Electra Glide later, now I'm a Harley fanatic also!

Now that my wife has started dropping weight again, she's been getting more into 2-up riding. It's probably a good mix of solo and her riding with me, and it's good both ways. She talks about riding again (we bought 2 Buell Blasts to learn on, and she liked it, but liked being a passenger more).

As far as the fears of both of us being killed in the event of an accident, I think that is just as likely in a car. If it's your time to go, then there's not much to do about it. Just make sure you have a good family member who will be able to step in if that unfortunate event happens.

When I owned my yami 1100 my wife had absolutely no interest in riding. So I solo'd for the entire time I owned it. Im not complaining mind you, I really enjoyed riding by myself. It was the perfect stress reducer. I sold that bike and bought an Ultra Classic last year. By doing that I have opened pandoras box. She can't get enough of riding now. Wants to go riding all the time(which is fine with me Its definately brought us closer together. So what happened?, did the Ultra improve my good looks?!! Anyway, we've been having a ball ever since. My wife would not ride one by herself, but does go with me sometimes. We are in the process of getting a new bike so I am hoping she'll be more comfortable and willing to go more often. If not, I guess it will be separate vacations....
