Looking for a low profile German style helmet (DOT) - any suggestions?
Hey guys, I recently ordered an 'Outlaw' brand German style helmet and its the most rediculous thing I've even seen, it sits WAY up high on my head and looks crazy. I hear good things about Daynota brand helmets. Any suggestions for a helmet that wont give me a huge mushroom head?

I tried to find the German style helmet at local dealers but noone had them in stock. I finally ordered one through an Indy taking a guess at my size, when it came in it sat real high on my head and looked stupid. I was lucky the Indy let me trade for a helmet in the store. I was told the helmets are made from the non DOT shells and all they do is put in a liner to make them DOT rated. You might be able to find one at a bike show that you can try on.

I've stuggled with this as well...I never did find a DOT German that looked good. I've hit just about every swap meet, rally, and show in my area for long while and had no luck.
I'm still searching for one...when I find it, i'll post it!

They collected them and brought them home. What do Americans think of the famous Confederate battle flag? Bottom line in either case is it doesn't matter what they think, only what the person wearing or using it thinks.
