I never understood why pedestrians have the right away?My truck is gonna kill you if I hit you.All a ped. is gonna do is dent my fender.Vehicles should have the right away.The vehicle is way more dangerous,and is using fossil fuel,so they should have the right away

The article didn't say if the pedestrian was wearing a helmet at the time of his untimely demise....
